KPV 10mg

A small tripeptide naturally derived from a melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Widely referenced in gut and mucosal research, with a well-established profile in inflammatory pathway studies.
How It Works
The Target
NF-kB — the master inflammatory switch inside cells. KPV is the smallest active fragment of alpha-MSH (melanocyte-stimulating hormone), just three amino acids: Lys-Pro-Val.
The Mechanism
Directly inhibits IKK (IkB kinase), the enzyme that activates NF-kB. When NF-kB stays inactive, cells produce fewer inflammatory cytokines like TNF-alpha and IL-6. KPV also enters intestinal cells via the PepT1 transporter, giving it direct access to gut epithelial inflammation.
Why It Matters
The PepT1 transport mechanism is significant — it means KPV can act directly on intestinal inflammation rather than requiring systemic absorption, which is why it shows particular promise in gut inflammation research.
